As a Priestess and independent celebrant, I create deeply personal handfastings, wedding blessings and sacred union ceremonies for couples who want something meaningful, beautiful and a little outside the ordinary.
Your ceremony can be spiritual, pagan, nature-based, traditional, wildly unconventional — or simply a heartfelt celebration of your love.
Handfasting
Handfasting is an ancient ceremonial tradition in which a couple's hands are bound together with ribbons or cords, symbolising their union and the promises they make to one another.
It is from this tradition that we get the expression “tying the knot.”
Your handfasting can form the heart of your wedding ceremony or be woven together with vows, readings, music, sacred anointing, the sharing of a ceremonial cup, jumping the broom and other rituals chosen especially for you.
Most importantly, I don't believe your ceremony should be shaped around a ritual simply because tradition says it belongs there.

Creating Your Ceremony
We begin with a conversation.
I want to hear your story — how you met, what you love about one another, what has brought you to this moment and how you want your ceremony to feel.
From there, I create a bespoke ceremony that reflects your relationship and the promises you are making to one another.
Although it is important to know that a handfasting is a symbolic rather than legally binding ceremony, it truly is one of the most poignant ways in which you can celebrate your love together in the presence of your family and friends.
One of the comments I get most often from weddings guests is "I've never been to such a beautiful wedding!" It is truly my honour and my joy.
My handfasting and wedding blessing packages range from £200–£800, depending on the ceremony you choose and the level of support involved.
Your ceremony may include some or all of the following:
- Consultation with you before the ceremony via Zoom, telephone, email or in person on the Isle of Wight.
- A completely bespoke ceremony, which may include a traditional handfasting alongside other rituals chosen to honour your relationship.
- A sacred anointing ritual for the couple, with the option to include your guests.
- Preparation and creation of sacred ceremonial space on the day.
- A signed commemorative certificate.
- Handfasting ribbons or cords in colours chosen especially for you.
- A decorated besom broom for a traditional jumping-the-broom ritual.
- A ceremonial cup for sharing mead, wine, water or another drink meaningful to you.
A note about the legal ceremony
I am an independent celebrant and these ceremonies are not legally binding. If you wish to be legally married, you will also need to complete the legal formalities through a register office or another authorised venue.
Your handfasting or sacred union ceremony can still be the heart of your wedding day - the moment in which you speak your vows, exchange rings, bind your hands and make your promises before the people you love.
Your love doesn't need to look like anyone else's.
