Sacred Holy Anointing Ceremony
The body is a temple. Anointing is an act of remembering.
There are moments when we need more than words.
When we long to be met in the sacredness of the body. To be blessed. Consecrated. Honoured. To lay down what we have been carrying and remember that this body ...exactly as it is...is worthy of reverence.
Sacred Anointing is an ancient devotional art: the blessing of the body with sacred oils as an act of prayer, love and consecration.
Across cultures and spiritual traditions, fragrant oils have been used to mark sacred thresholds, honour the body, prepare for initiation and death, bless kings, queens and holy ones, and invite the presence of the Divine.
To receive an anointing is to receive the Kiss of Spirit upon the body.
It is an invitation to remember:
My body is sacred.
My body is worthy of tenderness.
My body is a temple.
This is not a massage or a beauty treatment.
It is a 2.5-hour private ceremony, held slowly and intentionally within sacred space.
We begin by arriving together and speaking about what has brought you to the Temple and what you wish your anointing to honour.
Perhaps you are standing at a threshold.
Perhaps something has ended and something new is beginning.
Perhaps you have spent years at war with your body and are ready to meet her differently.
Perhaps you have given endlessly to others and long, for once, simply to receive.
Or perhaps there is no great story at all.
Perhaps you simply hear the call to be blessed.
You will be invited surrender into receiving as I work prayerfully with the highest vibration sacred holy oils, sound, energy, invocation and the ancient sacred art of anointing.
The oils are applied intentionally to the body, each touch becoming a blessing — an act of reverence for the living temple that carries you through this life.
There is nothing you need to achieve.
Nothing you need to perform.
Nothing you need to become.
You simply receive.
So many of us have learned to experience the body as something to discipline, improve, judge, hide or apologise for.
Anointing offers another possibility.
To meet the body not as an object to be perfected, but as sacred ground.
The skin becomes the altar.
The oil becomes the sacrament.
Touch becomes prayer.
And the body is invited to remember what perhaps the mind has forgotten:
You were never separate from the sacred.
The ceremony can be particularly powerful at times of transition — after loss, during endings and beginnings, at menopause or other life thresholds, during periods of personal transformation, or whenever you feel called to return more deeply to yourself.
It can also simply be received as an act of devotion, pleasure and radical love and tenderness.
I am an Ordained Scent Priestess within the Rosa Mystica Mystery School lineage, trained in the sacred and ceremonial art of anointing. I am the Temple Keeper of Myrrh and Jasmine Sambac, meaning I have a particularly deep relationship with these oils, and embody their frequency.
My work with sacred scent is rooted in reverence: for the oils themselves, for the ancient relationship between fragrance and the Divine, and for the person whose body I am entrusted to bless.
Each ceremony is held as a meeting between body, scent, Spirit and prayer.
I do not believe that the sacred lives somewhere outside of us.
I believe we encounter it here.
In breath.
In scent.
In skin.
In the extraordinary human body that has carried us through every love, loss, initiation, pleasure, grief and becoming of our lives.
Come as you are.
Let yourself be blessed.
